London’s creative talent on show across the capital 15-30 September 2005
The London Design Festival is the capital’s premiere showcase for the most exciting creative talents working in the UK today. The 2005 Festival covers the widest possible range interests from across the design spectrum: from fashion to creative writing, interiors, graphics, furniture, branding, products, innovation, textiles, architecture, manufacturing to digital design will all be represented, as well as incorporating food, sustainability and inclusive design.
With over 170 events and activities being staged – most of which are free - the Festival has quickly grown to become one of the biggest and most important events of its kind in the world.
It will be impossible to ignore the capital’s dynamic creative output with exhibitions, networking events, seminars, showcases, talks, receptions, parties, screenings and trade shows staged as part of the Festival. Organisers are anticipating an audience of over 150,000 people from across the UK and overseas.
Supported by Creative London, the London Development Agency initiative established to promote and develop London’s creative industries, the third annual London Design Festival will be bigger – and better - than ever.
The London Design Festival team co-ordinates, supports and encourages over 130 different partners, large and small to participate in the Festival. Often matching partners for collaborative projects, or assisting with content and communications, the team will stage a number of events this year to celebrate and promote the Festival, including the opening reception, hosted by the National Gallery, Monday 19 September.
